Rod Ramsay graduated from the London School of Economics to pursue a career that led him to a series of senior and high profile positions in the motor industry.
He started in manufacturing but subsequently moved to acquire worldwide experience in Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, Public and Corporate Relations, Product Development, Finance, Systems, Logistics, Retail and Franchise management.
Amongst other positions he has held, Rod was Marketing and Dealer Development Director for Land Rover and Rover Cars and Managing Director for MG Rover Sales and Marketing.
His experience is, however not confined to the motor industry he was Chairman and Chief Executive of a “Traditional-English” shoe company for some years and has operated as a freelance business and marketing advisor, supporting companies engaged in a wide range of activities including those in the automotive, insurance and risk management, molecular diagnostics, retailing and catering sectors.
Coupled with his broad experience, Rod’s strengths are an ability to discern very quickly what is required to address critical issues in any business and similarly to meet tight deadlines in development and implementation of relevant and innovative corrective actions; he manages to combine a strong grasp of the “big picture” with an unwavering attention to the basics and the detail of any assignment.
